RAZ Network Ecosystem Dynamics

Table of Contents

Stakeholders and Data Rights

1. Individual stakeholders own their data and retain full rights to how their data is utilized across the network.

2. If a stakeholder manages an impact-financial verification initiative with their group, company, organization or other type of initiative, they can set up a project management dashboard and control access settings. Project platforms can be private, viewable by the RAZ community or open for reviews and ranking, viewable by the public or open for public feedback.

Example project dashboards that are viewable by the public are:
RAZ Finance by Roshem Impact
Maven Hemp

Project Owners

A Project Owner is an individual $RAZ stakeholder who manages rights and access to all the data related to a RAZ Network dashboard.

Pods

A Pod is a group of self-organizing stakeholders who align to achieve outcomes that are uniquely defined by that group. Pods can:

  • Be invited by, or apply to participate in, a project or RAZ governance group
  • Combine their $RAZ and reputation scores to influence RAZ Network governance, standards and project ranking
  • Customize standards and stakeholder engagement criteria in order to utilize the RAZ as a due diligence tool for capital deployment
  • Collaborate across multiple data management projects to achieve specific objectives

Impact Verification

Data across a project's impact themes, initiatives, claims and goals across a group’s chosen set of factors and metrics is verified by stakeholders either at project, network or public levels.

You can see an example of data being tracked across impact themes and verified by stakeholders is viewable here.

Verification involves stakeholder engagement in reviewing data and claims. As the RAZ Network project develops a dApp, on-the-ground proof will be able to be provided by employees, community members and other individual stakeholders who can confirm that certain outcomes were achieved.

The RAZ team is currently balancing between:

  • "data auditing and reviews" delivered by network members
  • data and claim verification by the actual stakeholders engaged with local outcome realization

Our current proof of concept is meant to test at which levels we can expect stakeholder engagement and to what extent, as well as how to continuously improve our network platform and dApp's user experience.

For Projects

Our approach is unique in that impact, sustainability and ESG definitions adapt to each individual project. There are no universally-accepted best practices. Each project chooses their own framework.

Each time a Pod deploys RAZ to look for investable opportunities, that Pod sets their own due diligence standards.

This evolutionary approach is meant to make impact measurement reflective of the changing needs of different stakeholder groups across unique global environments.

Project Owners work through frameworks including the B Impact Assessment to make progress towards their ESG goals.

Some choose to keep their dashboards private, others provide access to the wider RAZ community, while others open their projects to public feedback.

Projects that choose to open their data up for community feedback will be viewable here. Project ranking is being initiated by the launch of stakeholder reputation scores that will be associated with specific impact areas.

Assessments of each project are carried out to create scorecards across specific, evolving impact areas that are unique to every project. For example, Decent Work and Economic Growth, Workers Impact, Governance, Sustainable Packaging, Environmental Conservation and beyond.

Project ROI

For project ROI as related to funding, we intend to facilitate transparent ROI tracking in this way:

  1. The RAZ community participates in ranking and improving projects
  2. Project Owners set their ROI milestones, and Pods as well as $RAZ network stakeholders can influence and improve KPIs.
  3. Projects and their stakeholders continue to utilize RAZ to track outcome realization once capital is deployed. The key is to make financial information transparent in addition to progress according to ESG goals.

Economics and Influence

Reputation score-based project ranking includes transparent compensation data for all stakeholders.

Projects can engage the community for support services through the platform. In order to achieve network-level ranking and become eligible for funding through the community, all projects need to provide detailed data related to employee and stakeholder compensation, as well as equality and inclusivity considerations related to wages, wage gaps and highest vs. lowest pay ratios.

Pods can come together to boost a project’s ranking. Pod stakeholders are incentivized according to an outcomes-based mechanism. To participate in revenue share from funding, Pods are expected to provide funding, project advisory and impact management support that requires the achievement of specific KPIs. When individual Pods manage projects, their stakeholders establish revenue-sharing considerations for themselves.

Carbon and Sustainability Credits

Credits are created through the collection of outcome-specific data from projects. Once a project achieves significant progress according to a particular SDG, impact metric, or carbon-related target, the project can mint and trade NFTs as credits. Buyers receive access to the data collected by stakeholders and influenced by pods.

Commerce

The Commerce section of our current platform provides access to stakeholder-approved products and services.

Products

To list in this section, manufacturers need to utilize RAZ to track their impact-financial data and make their project accessible to the community for feedback and ranking. Product choices are made by $RAZ stakeholder vote and take into consideration stakeholder and project reputation.

Services

To offer support and advisory to the network and projects, individuals and Pods, which can represent companies, need to earn reputation across the network, and participate in a voting and approval process.

Financial Model

The RAZ Network earns revenue through the following mechanisms:

  • Project Owner Subscriptions
  • Transaction fees from funding deployment to projects as well as NFT trading
  • According to revenue-share agreements within pods
  • Support and advisory service transactions
  • Product sale and distribution, affiliate and partnership revenue
